Saturday we drove to Cleveland for Greg's cousin's wedding. It was a long, bumpy trip. My car has oil in a couple cylinders and needs a new valve cover seal, so we didn't take it. It's not crazy nice or anything, but just more comfy for long trips. The miata is fun. I love it. But for a longish trip across northern ohio roads, it's terrible. We blasted Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me podcasts on the way up and a comedy channel on Pandora on the way back. Talking in the car is a tiring shouting game.
The wedding was a lot of fun. It was HUGE...something like 400 people. We visited with family and drank Great Lakes Christmas Ale that one of the bars at the reception had on tap. Awesome!
Sunday morning I got up early, as usual, and headed down to the hotel gym while Greg snoozed. I ran 3 miles while watching VH1's One Hit Wonders: 1986 Prom Edition. It was nothing short of terrible. However, I did end with Club Nuveau's Lean On Me, which wasn't a bad song, as the bpm fit my cadence. The run was decent. I started slow and kept upping the 'mill's speed in order to just get it done. I never got too winded so that was nice.
Today I'm resting. Maybe will hop on the bike tonight, but we have to fix my car too, so that might be the entire evening. Maybe I should just focus on weights. Tomorrow is going to be tricky. It's election day, I have a 9:00 meeting downtown, I'm crazy busy with work, and then there's yoga. Maybe I'll have to run at lunch. Yep, I'll plan on that.
